Hedera Joins Crypto ISAC as Founding Member

Hedera has joined the Crypto ISAC (Crypto Information Sharing and Analysis Center) - a new association aimed at advancing security initiatives, enhancing trust, and driving adoption - as a founding member alongside industry leaders in web3.

THA Partners with INNOVX at GITEX Africa

The Hashgraph Association (THA) announced a new partnership with INNOVX during GITEX AFRICA in Morocco alongside a number of leaders and builders in the Hedera ecosystem.

This strategic agreement with INNOVX, a subsidiary of UM6P - Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, is dedicated to investing in and developing innovative and high-performance tech businesses by providing venture building programs including funding, incubation and acceleration, and business development support.

This partnership is focused on sustainability, leveraging the Hedera-powered "Sustainability Venture Studio (THE GREEN BLOCK)", to contribute towards achieving zero-carbon emissions and making a positive environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impact.

Kamal Youssefi, President of The Hashgraph Association, stated, "We are excited to partner with INNOVX, due to our mutual dedication to pioneering disruptive technologies with a strong emphasis on sustainability. This collaboration marks a significant step towards promoting innovation, technology, entrepreneurship, and sustainability through our Sustainability Venture Studio in Morocco and wider Africa.”

BankSocial Launches RTP Solution for Credit Unions

BankSocial announced the commercial launch of its unique real-time payments solution for credit unions, which aims to lower the cost barrier for institutions to install and maintain new payment solutions.

"BankSocial® has uniquely launched the first fully cloud native implementation to connect to the RTP® network from The Clearing House, combining Google Cloud, IBM MQ, and Hedera capabilities," said John Wingate, chief executive of BankSocial. "The result is broad availability of instant payments for even the smallest banks and credit unions, compatible with existing digital banking and core solutions."

Eric Piscini, CEO of Swirlds Labs, participated in an insightful discussion on “Staying Ahead of the Curve: The Future of Digital Asset Regulation” with Joe Anzures of Crypto.com, Manoj Peiris of Worldpay, and Jason P. Allegrante of Fireblocks.

The panelists touched on the current regulatory landscape in the U.S - discussing how we can balance risk management with innovation to oversee and regulate this rapidly evolving industry.

BAF University Summit X Hedera Brunch

Swirlds Labs Lead Developer Advocate Justin Atwell, Senior Product Marketing Manager Devin Saxon, and other core members of the Hedera family joined the Blockchain Acceleration Foundation (BAF) Network University Summit for brunch and networking!

In the session "Navigating Real-World Solutions with Hedera,” students got the chance to connect with the Hedera team to explore how Hedera is leading the way in providing solutions to real-world problems.

Developer Workshop with Ed Marquez

Swirlds Labs Head of Developer Relations Ed Marquez led a developer-focused workshop exploring the use of blockchain and AI across applications like data and AI model integrity, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

Participants learned tangible skills, such as how to log AI-relevant information immutably and perform RAG with a public ledger like Hedera.

Media Meetup with the ACJR & Filecoin Foundation

We were proud to sponsor the Association of Cryptocurrency Journalists and Researchers (ACJR) Media Meetup alongside our partners at Filecoin Foundation.

In an intimate evening of food, drinks, and networking with fellow journalists and industry leaders, Hedera Co-Founder and Swirlds Labs Chief Scientist, Dr. Leemon Baird, delivered opening remarks. Dr. Baird touched on the role of DLT in journalism, with one notable example being The Starling Framework developed by Starling Lab.
